Ty Mawr Wybrnant

Ty Mawr Wybrnant | Betws-y-Coed

Situated in the beautiful and secluded Wybrnant Valley, Ty Mawr was the birthplace of Bishop William Morgan, first translator of the entire Bible into Welsh. The house has been restored to its probable 16th-/17th-century appearance and includes a display of Welsh bibles and an exhibition room. A footpath leads from the house through woodland and the surrounding fields, which are traditionally managed.

This attraction can be easily visited whilst staying in the Conwy Valley, and is 3 miles (5 km) from Betws-y-Coed as the crow flies (straight line distance). See the routeplanner below for a suggested route and estimated journey time.
