Llangollen Railway | Llangollen

Llangollen Railway runs trains for 7 ½ miles along the banks of the River Dee from Llangollen up the valley to Carrog through some of the most beautiful scenery in Wales. The railway operates on most weekends throughout the year, and on weekdays between June and October. Steam trains, diesel locos and heritage railcars run on the line. There are plans to extend the railway to Corwen further up the valley.

This attraction can be easily visited whilst staying in the Conwy Valley, and is 28 miles (44 km) from Betws-y-Coed as the crow flies (straight line distance). See the routeplanner below for a suggested route and estimated journey time.
