Marin Trail
The Marin Trail is a dedicated mountain biking trail in the Gwydyr Forest around Betws-y-Coed and Llanrwst. It is a mainly cross-country course for riders, with fast, technical single-track connected by forest road, this will appeal to down hillers in part. Most, but not all, of the climbs are on forest road and tacks giving you time to take in the views of the mountains of Snowdonia, and all of the descents are on single-track, The single tracks very from very tight; technical and rocky to wonderfully open and flowing, from dark forest to exposed ridgelines.
This attraction can be easily visited whilst staying in the Conwy Valley, and is 3 miles (5 km) from Betws-y-Coed as the crow flies (straight line distance). See the routeplanner below for a suggested route and estimated journey time.
